Michael Strickland’s ‘free speech’ event before the College Republicans at Portland State University became a car-crash of an event after Antifa-Anarchist (but I repeat myself) ‘protesters’ disrupted it by ringing a cowbell incessantly and shouting to drown out Strickland’s speech. See my stories on it here, here, here, and here.
Fox host Laura Ingraham took the measure of what happened Tuesday night by stating, “The chilling effect continues, long after the event is disrupted.” She lead her program off with the topic which she named “The Anti-Free Speech Thugs.”
It’s an apt description.
Strickland’s YouTube channel Laughing at Liberals posted Ingraham’s segment:
Ingraham reported that her staff called 17 Portland State University administrators for comment and only one – the PR guy – sent her this richly ironic statement, which reads in part:
We commit to inclusion of historically marginalized communities and those underrepresented in higher education.”
Ingraham laughed and told her guests that conservatives are among the most marginalized communities on any campus.
Among those commenting on the case were Portland area journalist Andy Ngo, Professor Victor David Hanson and Dinesh D’Souza who’s had these Leftist tactics used on him many times before.
Stories of Strickland being attacked by Antifa and drawing his weapon (no shots were fired) to defend himself are here. The journalist was jailed and his First and Second Amendment rights stripped. His case is on appeal.
