From CBS Los Angeles
Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone is proposing that Riverside, Imperial, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, Kings, Kern, Fresno, Tulare, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa and Mono counties break off from California and form their own state, South California. The new state would “focus on securing borders, balancing budgets, improving schools and creating a vibrant economy,” Stone claims.
Stone also proposes the new state to “have no term limits, only a part-time legislature and limits on property taxes.”
Governor Brown is much less than enthusiastic.
Seeing the call for securing the borders, my question is whether or not the large illegal alien population in those counties would permit such a thing.
